Delivery Updates:

Monty's Natural Treats would like to thank you for your custom, loyalty and support over the years and would like to take this time to reassure you about our measures & procedures that we are carrying out to keep everyone safe! We are Still open and it's business as usual! 

As Monty's Natural Treats are an on-line operating company, our team members are fully equipped to work remotely to continue with our usual business operations. As a result, customer communication, order management and customer support will remain unaffected.

Monty's Natural Treats understands the trust you place in us to deliver safe treats for your pooches and takes this responsibility incredibly seriously. Given the evolving COVID-19 situation I wanted to update you with everything we're doing, as this is clearly a worrying time for many people. 

I wanted to reassure you that the safety and well being of customers, their pets and colleagues is always our top priority. Monty's Natural Treats already has very high hygiene standards and strict food handling procedures especially on raw meats. In light of the current situation we're carefully following the advice from health authorities, UKAS & PDSA. Although all of our members of staff already wear protective clothing, gloves and masks whilst handling our natural treats (as it can be pretty smelly) we've implemented a number of additional precautions such as increased hand washing and sanitation.  

Most of our parcels are sent out via Royal Mail, but we also send our larger / heavier parcels with DHL & Parcel force. We have been in regular contact and have been monitoring their procedures and we are being informed of any changes. 

Although we try and ship orders out as soon as they come in their may be a slight delay due to travel restrictions, road closures & country in lock-down.  

Due to the current situation we have made the decision to only accept and deliver orders within the UK ONLY until further notice. Sorry we are unable to send items abroad due to current travel restrictions. Should there be a delay on your order or estimate delivery date we will keep you informed by email. Having said that Royal Mail have been excellent and our courier services have arrived everyday to collect parcels. 

However we have stopped any special delivery am / pm services as Royal Mail, Parcel force, TNT, DHL have temporary stopped offering this service. 

All delivery Services are now doing contact-less deliveries, which means a signature is no longer required. Your postman or delivery driver will simply knock on your door, step back and wait until you answer. Sometimes they may leave your parcel on your door step or if you have put a note on your door they may leave in a safe place. All deliveries can still be tracked. 

Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don't survive long on objects, such as letters and parcels. This complements the highly publicized guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.

We are actively monitoring this rapidly evolving situation. We take the health and safety of our people very seriously. We have provided guidance to our people, our customers and our partners, to help prevent the spread of any infection. We are doing so in line with preventative guidance from Public Health England. 

The good news is, current advice from the World Health Organisation is that there’s no evidence that pets can be a source of infection or that they can become sick.

We encourage all pet owners to take sensible precautions, and follow the latest government advice.

No, putting a mask on your pet isn’t something we’d recommend. Wearing a face mask could be distressing for pets and may affect their ability to breathe normally, particularly in flat-faced breeds. To help stop the virus spreading, make sure you wash your hands with warm water and soap (especially before and after handling your pet and their food).

The virus is most commonly passed from person to person through coughing and sneezing. There is some evidence that the virus can live on surfaces for some time, depending on the type of material, temperature and other factors. However, there’s currently no evidence that companion animals can spread Covid-19 to people.

It’s best to follow standard good hygiene practices, such as regularly washing your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water, especially after handling or feeding your pet. It’s always sensible to avoid letting your pet lick your face.

There is no need to give up or quarantine pets and we would urge owners not to panic.

If you notice any signs of illness in your pet we would advise calling your vet as usual in the first instance. They will advise you on the best course of action based on your circumstances. Please don't take your pet into a vet unannounced! 

There is currently no evidence to suggest that dogs and cats can become ill from the Covid-19 virus. 

There’s no need to let pets suffer needlessly, give your vet a call to discuss your situation and see how they may be able to help.

We are aware of a false post being shared on social media that suggests hand sanitizers contain Ethylene Glycol, a chemical that is found in antifreeze and is extremely toxic to pets. This isn’t true - hand sanitizers contain ‘ethanol’ (alcohol), not ethylene glycol. Ethanol (alcohol) can be harmful if ingested in a large quantity (i.e. an entire bottle), but it evaporates quickly and IS NOT HARMFUL if it’s licked in small quantities from your skin, or your pet’s fur. Please do not let this false information put you off using hand sanitizer products at this critical time.
